4-7-8 rhythmic breathing is a core part of many meditation and yoga practices as it promotes relaxation and can also be used to help you fall asleep in a shorter period of time. The goal is to calm your sympathetic nervous system, which controls the fight-or-flight response.

NOTE: In this video, the 4-7-8 counting does not follow seconds (the pace is purposefully slower). Normally in a Psychedelic Breathwork session it lasts up to 1 and a half hours with 25 minutes of breathing with a pre and post meditation. Activation and integration. <br /><br />Psychedelic Breathwork combines conscious connected breathing and longer breath holds. We are getting out of the thinking mind, and opening up to whatever needs to come up. This is not exactly a Psychedelic Breathwork session, but this breathing session is inspired by it. In a Psychedelic Breathwork session, breathers can experience ego death, emotional release, an open heart and much more. <br /><br />A longer more intense session can open the mind to a more profound and immersive state of self-discovery, serving to bring about a greater degree of insight, stimulate new and enlightening thoughts, spark a greater awareness of oneself and one’s emotional state, and allow you to gain more clarity.<br /><br /><br />It´s recommended to lay down, with a pillow under your knees for better back support. By laying down you´re able to relax your body more and take more profound inhales, more love to bring ;)<br />I am always sitting upright for video purposes. So do what feels right, but if you want to go deeper I recommend laying down. <br />I encourage you to, before any breath work, to get in a calm meditative state, set your intention and to make sure that you are comfortable. <br /><br />Regular practice of Breathwork can bring real change to your life Including boosted immune system, lowered stress and inflammation, better focus, more energy and the list goes on. My guiding voice mixed with the rhythmic music really helps to go deeper into a state of relaxation and bliss. This is not exactly a Psychedelic Breathwork session, but this breathing session is inspired by it. In a Psychedelic Breathwork session, breathers can experience ego death, emotional release, an open heart and much more.

A longer more intense session can open the mind to a more profound and immersive state of self-discovery, serving to bring about a greater degree of insight, stimulate new and enlightening thoughts, spark a greater awareness of oneself and one’s emotional state, and allow you to gain more clarity.


It´s recommended to lay down, with a pillow under your knees for better back support. By laying down you´re able to relax your body more and take more profound inhales, more love to bring 😉
I am always sitting upright for video purposes. So do what feels right, but if you want to go deeper I recommend laying down.
I encourage you to, before any breath work, to get in a calm meditative state, set your intention and to make sure that you are comfortable.

We studied breathwork at the root in the himalayan mountains in India.<br /><br />The increase of oxygen will result in higher ph levels in your body which will make the immune system, cardiovascular system and others function better. It also releases your 'happy' hormones and will often leave you feel euphoric.<br /><br />This breathwork if done regularly is proven to boost your immune system. The caves of the monks centuries ago were not that warm, so they developed these tools to create internal heat. What else would you want besides a strong healthy body and a happy mind and open heart? This is essentially a combination of bhastrika pranayama, tummo breathing and kumbhaka. This breathwork practice is very old and has been practiced by yogis, monks, shamans and healers alike for hundreds if not thousands of years. The techniques have gained popularity in the past several years because of yoga teachers in the west as well as the wim hof method. There are no new techniques being taught from neither of these groups but instead they're all shining light on ancient techniques from yoga and buddhism with kind and loving intention.<br /><br />If breathing in and out through the mouth does not work for you currently, you can also breathe through the nose. The breath count can vary and be adjusted to your preference. A general orientation is 25-35 breaths, which works well for most people. You can of course do more or less than that. In fact in the healing practice of holotropic breathwork based on Stanislav Grof, this breath pattern is being done for up to 10-20 minutes without a break. We do not recommend that you do this without professional guidance, but instead contact a trained holotropic breathwork guide.<br /><br />In the functional anatomy systems (FRC and Kinstretch) this breathing exercise is known as a variation of the maximal expansive breathing technique and is training the diaphragm to function better which will result in better breathing patterns.<br /><br />Get comfortable and let's do this together.
